Return to Tokyo |
It was Friday and time to travel back to Tokyo. This morning, I looked for the trains back to Tokyo and I found some at a good website www.jorudan.co.jp/english/norikae/. In K's guesthouse some other travellers recommend me a ryokan. And I wanted avoid a accommodation like in Kanazawa and so I decided to try this one. I ordered via e-mail.
I wanted to try a real Ryokan (traditional Japanese guesthouse and some travellers recommended one.
Impressions from the Ryokan
Next morning. At the room you find hot water and green tea.
The bath of the Ryokan. At first take a shower and then take a real hot bath.
You pay the food and then you present the waiter the bill and get what you paid.
But this was difficult for me because the machine was only in Japanese Language
and so I took the waiter and showed him what I want at the shop window.
Run Forrest, run! Here is the bank of Forrest.
Big amusement area and baseball statium.
You can buy food at every time. In Germany we have real stupid and old law about
closing times of shops :-(
The little friend Tanyuki at many shops. What are the real big things between belly and feet???
Shopping market in Tokyo. One of the caps is from east German army and and the second is from Nazi army. Do the people know the difference? Flags from all countries. But things like this you can not buy in Germany.
Most expensive fruits I ever bought.
I walked a long the streets and saw a cinema and thought to watch a movie but I could not find an English movie but I saw this ad of a new movie, I think it is an Ghibly movie but I could read :-)
Last night in Tokyo. At the day I met my friends and later then I took a dinner at Hard Rock Cafe :-) I ate a real good burger after 4 weeks Asia :-) At the bar I started a talk with my neighbour and he was from US. And then I was surprised, he was captain of a US Submarine :-) So we talked a little about Submarines, Tom Clancy and Life but I didn't ask him about the problems in Iraq. I think he will not like this topic.
And then I prepared my luggage, drunk a little sake for good sleeping and saw a movie. It seems to be a mix between E.T. and Star Wars. I don't know the name, may be some one can help me :-)
And again, wake up extremely early in the morning. I thought that a flight at 9 is not so early but the airport is really far away in Tokyo and so I need to wake up at 4:30.
Flying home with Asiana. From Tokyo to Seoul, from Seoul to Frankfurt, from Frankfurt to Berlin and then take the bus to my car and then drive 30 minutes to my home. At the second flight I ate Bibimbap.
It was a really impressive journey to the far east and I met a lot of old friends again and I also found some new. I want say thank you to all my friends who took time to show me around in Korea and Japan.
